I remember liking this stage with Evie too. When Jake was in school and it was just me and her in the mornings. It's nice to have a little one on one time with each kid. I especially like the days when we have nowhere to be and nothing pressing to do and we just hang out with Mickey Mouse on the TV in the background while I knit or check emails and Lila plays by me.
Today she was playing beauty parlor. She wanted to do her hair herself. You can't see it, but the back of her hair has little clippies in it. She walked in with a huge grin and said, "Look Mom! I'm gorgeous!" (Think John Lithgow in Third Rock from the Sun.)
I had to include this picture.
She got a hold of my camera and wanted to take a picture of me knitting, but she kept turning it the wrong way and taking pictures of herself. She was getting so frustrated! It was so funny I couldn't bring myself to intervene and show her what the problem was.
I am looking forward eagerly to a day when she too will be in school and I will actually get be all by myself, but this morning routine isn't too bad a way to pass the time.

Meghan and I had snuggle time which turned into tickle time. I'm so glad she would let me stay in bed a little bit longer.
