Last night we pulled out the old sponge curlers and went to town!
We even tried them in Lila's baby fine hair. She actually has quite a bit of natural curl, but it tends to frizz out once it's dry. So I thought I'd see what happened if we curled it overnight...
The end result was a pretty, fine halo of tight curls, except for one big loose curl in the back where a curler fell out sometime in the night. And then she has all those uneven baby wispy bangs and in the back too. It's so strange to me because when Evie was two we were doing all kinds of braids, and ponytails, and out right elaborate hairdos, but Lila gets a choice between one pony or two... Oh well, she does have curls.
And pretty brown eyes.
It was fun to see Evie in curls again, she hasn't let me put her hair up in curlers for months. It is my favorite hairdo for Sundays since you do most of the work the night before.
I have also learned it's best to snap a shot of them all dressed up before church and the inevitable rumpling that happens when you are trying to keep three small people quiet and well-behaved for three hours.
P.S. I knit Lila's leg warmers. Love, love, LOVE self-stripping yarn and all the pretty colors it comes in.
P.P.S. I got asked many times today if I had made Evie's dress, but I didn't. I did make the hair bows she is wearing several months earlier and ended up buying the dress because it perfectly matched the hair bows...
I asked Jake to look contemplative.
I love this handsome boy.
A lot.

Playing in fall leaves, little girls in curlers and one handsome little dude striking a GQ pose! Doesn't get much better than that. So adorable. Love, Sandra
Just too cute and darling for words!
Love the curls and the leg warmers! You're so crafty. Your kids are so darling.
I love the curls. Maybe I need to try some legwarmers. Too cute!
